: The Spanish basketball game federation have fired national squad manager Jose Vicente "Pepu" Hernandez, who in 2006 led the squad to the World Championship statute title for the first time.
The proclamation Tuesday came after a little meeting between Hernandez and federation president Jose Luis Saez, who will reportedly offer the coaching job place to former DKV Joventut manager Aito Garcia Reneses.
Relations between Hernandez and the federation had deteriorated since the 50-year-old coach said last calendar month he would discontinue after the Peking Olympic Games in August.
Saez failed in an effort last hebdomad to negociate Hernandez's departure.
