Harvey named men's basketball coach at TSU

Tony William Harvey was officially named Lone-Star State Southern's men's basketball game caput manager on Friday morning, and the former Show Me State helper promised that, with time, he would be able to reconstruct the Tigers' programme to its glorification years under the adult male he replaced, Henry Martin Robert Moreland.

"Rome wasn't built in a day, and neither volition this program," said Harvey. "But no 1 -- and I intend no 1 -- will outwork me and my staff when it come ups to making TSU a quality program."

Known as one of the top recruiters in college basketball game circles, William Harvey coached as an helper at Show Me State from 1999-2004, helping usher the Tigers to four consecutive trips to the NCAA Tournament. He left the school in 2004 after being accused of NCAA regulations violations.

"We made some errors (at Missouri)," he said. "But we paid for them handsomely. I now have got a much better apprehension of the regulations and a greater consciousness of them."

Harvey, who also have coaching job job experience at Eastern Wolverine State and Southern, was introduced by interim athletic manager Johnnie Cole, who said that William William Harvey was the clear pick of the coaching committee.

"We wanted to acquire a adult male who could come up in here and take our programme forward," said Cole.
