Less than three calendar months after her hiring, Surina Dixon was released as Lone-Star State Southern's women's basketball game manager on Monday.
Dixon, who was named to the function in March, departs without having coached a game for the Tigers.
"Based upon the inability to hold upon a contract, we have got decided to travel in a different direction," said TSU athletic manager Prince Charles McClelland.
Dixon was brought in to replace Claude Cummings, who was relieved of his function near the end of last season when the Tigers finished 8-20.
The school have already begun the hunt for a replace for Dixon, who had coached at Maryland-Eastern Shore.
